Damn this topic, I'm sat in my living room and now I can hear the damn Veritas transformer in the Hallway!!!!!

Haven't got round to changing the panel since we moved in - i'd got used to the hum and now you lot have made me more aware of it than ever before!!!!

Thanks guys. I'm on my way round tonight so will have a look at the whole thing. It's on a solid wall so sounds like loose screws. Let you know tomorrow

I found the transformer screws were loose and a wall fixing screw needed tightening down. Seems okay now.

A friend has contacted me about his Veritas Excel. Apparently, the mains transformer is humming. I will not be able to look at it until next week but in the meantime does anyone else have experience of the transformer humming? I guess that this may be a replacement job but do Texecom supply just the transformer or is it a complete panel change? It will be under manufacturer's warranty.

try tightening them up but put some super glue on the threads before tightening them as the tx vibration will loosen them of gradually
