Panic Alarm - Confirmed But "confused"

I'm hoping someone can help as I think i have completely confused myself in trying to understand Panic Alarms.

A client wishes to have one installed just for their Receptionist who works alone.

They want to have the option for police response on pushing the button.

We are considering using an IoN40 with a 710R wireless panic button.

Although it is Grade 2 and a double push button, i am confused by what is meant when someone says confirmed or unconfirmed.

In the case of panic, do you need another device to generate a police response?

Sorry if this is a stupid question :)

As I understand it, there are several options.

I believe one is to have the Arc call the address

I think another is to have a device such as from Knight which is effectively two separate mechanical devices in one case.

On its own, the 710 won't be able to generate two signals.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Thanks for your thoughts.

This is related to a similar post I submitted a while ago about using a provider who only offers Lone Worker Protection.

When I asked them about how they deal with a "confirmed" panic alarm, they said that technically, their Monitoring Station is the secondary confirmation.

What's most important is that a 2nd device isn't required, so thanks for your thoughts.
