October 6, 200421 yr comment_26205 I have a wireless ADSL modem/router and I can get it working fine on one extension but not another, the difference with the other socket is that in the past it had been set up for ISDN, It works fine for the phone but I believe its causing problems for the ADSL connection, can anyone shed some light on this please. October 6, 200421 yr comment_26211 When you say ISDN was it BT ISDN highway and does the socket look like an RJ45 or PSTN type if it is pstn check your wiring 2 Blue 3 Orange 5 white/Blue and the same at the other end. Now check your dial tone press a digit like 1 and listen in, if no noises can be heard all ok but if you hear the sound of frying bacon you have got problems if the cable in use has more than 4 prs change them around without using the existing prs already used. If this still does not work then change the Line Jack. I have come across a few line jacks that do not work on ADSL services. October 8, 200421 yr Author comment_26502 Thanks for the replies Alistair The nte faceplate was a standard one, The problem was with the cable to the fax machine, one with a piggy back plug for putting a phone into it too, I tried changing the adapter and also using a microfilter combination but it still wouldnt work, I have removed the fax from that socket and now the ADSL connection seems fine, Do you know what I can use in place to be able to connect the router and the fax to the same socket without it killing the adsl signal?
