Hi, first time posting. Not a complete moron, but nothing too techie please.

Alarm works fine, sets and unsets as it supposed to, but the strobe outside is constantly flashing. Live on a tight cul de sac and it's p#ssing the neighbours off a bit. I did the reset as outlined in the user manual. No joy.

I've cut the power and disconnected the battery hoping for a reset. No joy. The battery appears to be about 7years old (was in when we bought house 5 yr ago). From what I've read, it's ready for replacing anyway, but could this be the cause? Or am I being optimistic?

System will need a new battery.

Strobe will flash if there is a tamper fault. Wouldn't rule out a faulty sounder from your post.

Need to check if the output of the panel is at fault or the box.
