Replacing ADE Ulimate panel

Featured Replies

I am due to replace a ADE ultimate panel, but want to retain all the passives etc. Is the Karisma panel compatible with the existing ID chips and are there any other panels that would be compatible with the ID chips.

Thanks

Basically, any panel with an iD variant is usable. A lot of manufacturers support iD and it should be a staight swop for the panel. Did you install it first time round?

Thanks for your reply.

The alarm was was originally installed by another company - but I do have the installation manual and Engineers code for it.

If I did go for say the Texecom - would this definately be compatible with the exiting ID chips fitted in the sensors.

if u went for the texecom premier you would have to use their 60 zone id expander. it will work with the existing id biscuits.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

I am due to replace a ADE ultimate panel

ADE now do a replacement for the Ultimate panel called the Captive8-256

You can get more info from the here: Captiv 8-256 info

PS They are going to stop making the Karisma panel when they have used all the parts up  (that will be replaced by the smaller Captive panel out in the next few weeks)

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.

If you can buy one you could also look at the Castle-Caretech meridian range.
