Hello

I have a system with a Veritas 8C control unit. I recently had my back door replaced and the fitter wrecked the old contact sensor. The alarm is currently disabled as it won't set. Can I fit an IR sensor in place of the contact and how will I recommission the system? I don't have a manual.

It all depends on how the installer wired it up in the first place.

How many cores are in the cable supplying the door contact ? 4 or 6? You really need 6 cores to swap the contact for a PIR.

do you think you could please send me the old veritas 8c engineer maual for the 1999-2000 i think its not the new one with example 3&9 panic and 1 button set

and it has the old buzzz sound i am trying to set a magnet contact and trying to set my bell cut off time mins and more
