I'm only talking on the residential side of things, commercials will hopefully always be compliant to the standards and keep us all in a job.

 

the commercial site will fall to IT lash ups,

the domestic will increase with radio stuff from argos,

tradition alarm co's will be pinched harder from both ends

The local "Worldbeater" IT nag happy towers about lines & business phone systems, they do almost every everything.... always makes me chuckle to see BS7671:2001 for the electrical "division" withdrawn 5yrs ago ?

Jack of all trades, master of none setup. Not just IT companies that are trying to venture onto other RMR. By doing lines and broadband, we are doing the same really.
