Cctv To Record Build

Featured Replies

We have installed a Samsung SRD-1670DC with 16 camera's to protect a building site, but the owners want to record the build over a 3-4 month period so they can view it in say 5 minutes they need about 4 - 8 camera's to take a snap shot every 10-15 minutes 10 hours a day.

I was thinking about using the loop through from the SRD-1670DC so we can use the existing cameras and use a cheap DVR and set it at the lowest frame rate for ten hours a day five days a week but that is still going to be a lot of footage. Has anyone got any better suggestions?

You can use your cameras but you will need something that can take the snapshots as required. This is not a function of a dvr usually.

We have our own software solution for this when we do it, but easiest way for you would be to add a decent ip camera as the good ones have this feature.
