Glass Break Detectors

Featured Replies

Hi All

I would like to ask for a recommendation regarding Glass Break Detectors.

I will be purchasing a Texecom 24 panel with an 8 zone expander.

I have been thinking the Honeywell - Glass-Break Detector FG1025Z or

Texecom Impaq G Glass Break Detector (IMPAQG).

Which is more reliable? Cost wise they are about the same give or take a few pounds.

Or would you recommend another brand?

Thanks for reading.

I wouldn't recommend a glass break detector period. If I had to choose I'd go for the Honeywell.

Thank you for the reply James.

O.K then would a window shock contact be better, or just a window contact

and let the pir do it's work?

Reading to much starting to believe manufactures claims.

Yeah I'd go for a viper over a glass break any day. IMO only reliable glass break detector is window foil
