Texecom24 - Chime

Featured Replies

Hi All,

In programming the 'Zone Attributes', though I set it for 'Chime 2',

only a single chime sound is produced on doing a walk Test.

What am I missing doing here can anyone tell?

I wanted some Zones to double chime and, in particular, the one I intend associating with the driveway gates IR beam relay.

The double chime plus my 16Ohm external loudspeaker so as to be sure of hearing it if, say, I was working out back.

Walk test and Chime sounds are different.

Put the panel into its 'day' mode and, if you have programmed it correctly, when you pass through the beam you'll get your 'double chime'.

Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.

Thanks.

Unclear re 'day mode' - do u mean 'disarmed'/not set? - which is what it would be if we were at home during the day [Part set (outbuildings) at night].

When my Came Doc-e detectors activate, the short circuit across a Zone input is removed.

Re "programmed correctly", could u pse advise what's needed setting up so I get alerted if someone passes through open gateway whilst the system is disarmed.

And Chime turned on

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

There ya go, got it in one, or is that two?
