Remote Monitoring

Featured Replies

I recently took over in a new house a GArdtec 595 panel that had been on a remote monitoring contract with Group 4 and th the police. I no longer have the monitoring contract and have set the system up wit 2 Areas and Vo-Com activated to my mobile.

Originally the system had a both secondary and perimiter zones set up presumably to ensure the transmission of first an unconfirmed and then comfirmed alarm to Group 4.

I have removed all sec and per zones and the system is now triggering fine and calling my mobile on trigger.

I am not sure how the remote notifictaion to Group 4 works but I am concerned the system may still be trying to call the remote centre etc.

Can anyone give me a basic explanation as to how the remote monitoring is set up. I am assuming this is all done in programming te programmable outputs but without a programming manual its a bit hard to figure out what should be set in thses areas.

Can anyone give me a basic explanation as to how the remote monitoring is set up.

I assume its a digi built in the controls with account & telephone numbers programmed, but could be anything

Its a Gardtec 595 panel with a Countour RKP so yes it has a built in Digi Com. I have found the Digicom set up menu and I have programmed in my mobile number only so that V-Comm calls me on an alarm trigger and that is working fine.

I just want to be sure that as the system is connected to the phone line its not going to try and call anyone other than my mobile ie Group 4 as this was who had the old monitoring contract

Its in the digi programme. Comms should be off.

Thanks

DO you know exactly how to get to that menu option?
