Hi there we have recently moved into a new house and had a power cut, which resulted in the alarm going off. I could not turn it off with our usual code and so turned off the main connection. The alarm still sounded outside rather than inside, but sounded like the battery was dying. I have now bought a new battery but I tried to install it and the alarm just starts to ring again.

Is there any advice or method to sorting it out?

The panel may have defaulted back to a code of 0123, so try turning it on and off with that. Let us know how that goes...
