I installed a Galaxy panel on our home and I come across a RS232 Module which looks different the ones which are explained on this website, Its made by PITTWAY CORP

It allows serial connection to a pc for udl. Can be used to connect a serial printer for logging. Can also copy programming out of a panel for board changes

Thats for signalling ie to an arc, a pc running the receiver software, pagers etc

Any chance I can hook it upto a pc from home for this?

You have to buy it if your not in the trade.

Honeywell or any good wholesaler.

You can get a cut down end user version. Same places still costs.
