Guest Ziggey
We have a family of spiders living in the display of the keypad so we decided to remove the keypad to clean them out. So we have triggered a tamper alarm. Simple to stop the alarm after entering my pin code, but I am left with K01 tamper (as well as K01 excess keys)message that cannot be reset to normal operations with my pin code. The manual says that if the red spanner light is on then I need to contact an engineer. Is there anyway that I can reset the system without calling the engineer? james.wilson
Is the system under a maint / service agreement? If so it may be locked out etc. If not then its probable you havnt reset and or reseated the tamper correctly. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. Guest Oxo
Your keypad needs fitting back correctly first of all. Thats error k01 Tamper. They can be fiddly so examine the back of the keypad and the tamper switch position. Then try your codes if K01 Tamper disappears, if the "spanner" remains you will need to call out an engineer. hpotter
keypad tampers & panel lid removal have to be actively be progged out ie default requires an eng reset (option 38). Not always a deliberate act by the firm, some engs just dont read the manual.
