August 19, 201213 yr comment_288305 I have just fitted an SD1 you only need the two wires that come into the house Line A and Line B you do not need the third which is a bell return for extensions. I have a exchange in the house so I just broke into the wires before the ntl box and spliced on a connection to A and B lines. August 19, 201213 yr comment_288312 That will work but I certainly wouldnt recoment it at all, The (BT) NTE5 or (NTL/VIRGIN) CTE5 Master Sockets have a surge arrestor (26A) filter in it. In the event of a good surge or thunder & lightning storm you might possible end up looking for another dialler You should of taken it from the front plate, pins 2 & 5, before it goes to your exchange Edited August 19, 201213 yr by PSE Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/29770-menvier-sd1-telephone-wiring-help/#findComment-288312 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
