Hi all, I was looking to install some Radioplus equipment and was advised that the software would have to be higher than what was currently fitted, so I got a new panel with 8.25 and used wintex to download all the current settings/data, than changed the panel, powered up, used default code to silence alarm and then uploaded all the settings/data, the time and date are fine but there is a line of à are shown on both RKP,s

Anyone got any ideas

I had this on another panel (not a tex mind) and it was because the keypad firmware was too old for the panel and some display text wasn known etc.

Also have you recycled the power of all devices after the f/w u/g?

That could be a possibility, sorry i might be a bit dim "recycled the power?"

Removed all power then rebooted the system.

Bit like a restart on your PC after D/L a new programme.

the syntax would suggests at there being as said above keypad incapability or a data corruption, 1st off disconnect everything exotic like the receiver an try again.,

corruption could be either in the data itself or during transfer, try a new download and re-send the update into the panel. pia and minor maybe, but you need to be sure as yo can be all is well for the client and/or yourself.

Update, just had a session with Texecom tech and even with new keypad connected directly to panel still showing fault and they believe faulty panel, deep joy

Can you upgrade from such an old version? can you put the old firmware back?

Hi, yes it was all fine, wasnt just a firmware upgrade as apparently it cant be done on the 24, had to change whole board, put old one back and all is good, just waiting for new one now

UPDATE: Got replacement panel did the same again with the upload and this panel has done the same as the first one (not happy) Texecom have now said that you can only download and upload files via Wintex when using the same software version, not that helpfull when doing an upgrade.
