Yes I agree - Thanks for your time and effort in trying to help and I try after the weekend.

All the best

Just found this - note the schematic - Could this be the solution??

We use them, not a tyco product. Available from a few outlets. Trouble is probably trade only. Unless someone knows better.

If I can get one, any idea if I will be able to wire this in using the simple installation (between the master socket and slave) or is it required that I remove the alarm panel and carry out the connection as per the 2nd schematic ?

2nd schematic gives line seize as per regs. If you not fitting to regs then use No1.

Any hard wired, or if your clever break into one and solder will work on schematic 1

Many thanks Oxo for your help and advice - If i can get the part i'll give it a go myself as per #1 schematic - Please correct me if i'm wrong but would schematic #2 be used for monitored systems (where line seize and install regs are relevant?) - the Lynteck LS400 dialer we have is just a simple 2 wire stand alone system that calls 3 numbers in the event of a alarm trigger.

So hopefully I can place it in a suitable enclosure and split the telephone line before the slave socket, that connects the standard filter to the dialer

I'll try to get one next week and let you know if it all works

cheers

#1 is for non reg use.

#2 as you said for regs.

Your idea will not "snatch" the line. It has to be #2 to do that.

cheers

u said u disconnected all phones and left only dialler and it didnt work. so how can new filter solve your problem? i think first get your cables sorted.
