May 11, 200917 yr comment_236956 Hello, I'd be grateful for some advice. I'm looking to buy a video door entry system, with the following features: 1 internal (handsfree), and 1 to 2 door stations with one button each. Flush mounted system Vandal resistant Can record to an SD memory card Records images which can be used in practice to identify callers accurately, preferably which can be used by the police also. Wired (need a 110 foot cable run) or Wireless (can transmit reliably through 4 stone walls) Good value for money Reputable company I've come across the "benchmark" magazine online, but otherwise I've not been able to find any magazine which conducts group tests. Is there any such one? It's amazing that such a common home requirement doesn't seem to be covered by recommendations in the same way that hifi/computers/etc are! Any ideas please! Agreed he migrates ( sorry did I not mention I have known the owner for many yrs) Italian stuff into his own products. Yet Italy is the home of access control if you look at most of the boxes when you remove the equipment to fit! His stuff is good quality, hence a bit pricey. Support is bril if you cannot get your head around a 5 wire system, as some muppets seem to not be able to do. Hence the range of 2 wire now available. I could go on but it would belittle the thread. The OP asked a question, was rewarded with exactly what he wanted. Then posted a totally unnecessary reply. He can trawl the web for eternity now. Stuffed if i`m going to help a Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/28601-video-door-entry-systems/#findComment-238304 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 May 23, 200916 yr comment_238323 Thank you for the info.Has anyone got any relevant contributions to suggest please? Here's a relevant contribution - "get some manners"! You were given a link to, as said, one of the largest door entry suppliers in the UK. If, as might be the case, you're looking for an INSTALLER of video door entyry systems, then why do you need comparitive reviews? Door entry is door entry is door entry up to a point. Be guided by a reputable installer, and don't sweat the details. The system you specified is easy enough for anyone with a brain and two screwdrivers to put together. Bill. May 24, 200916 yr comment_238346 So thats the secret. LOL Yup - two screwdrivers - one to prize the door panel away from the backbox, the other to gain extra leverage and snap the mounts between the two.....lol! A step up from intruder, I guess, thinking about it. Lol. I'm told fire is three screwdrivers, a hammer, and a laptop to throw at the panel when it doesn't work! Bill.
