Texecom 48 Tag Reading In Part Mode

Featured Replies

I've upgraded my home system from a Veritas to a Texecom 48 and using the wintex software it all seems to have come together really well. It might sound a little over the top but after a previous near break-in our multiple keypads and wider zone coverage means we can have configurable areas for bedtime, 'perimeter', being in the garden etc - all helps peace of mind.

PROBLEM:

The one small issue I have is that during one of my Part modes one of my proxy keypads doesn't seem to respond to tags when disarming - I have to type in the code. It works fine when I do a complete arm/disarm and on the other Part modes. It seems a strange problem as clearly all the elements of hardware work together in other scenarios and I'm not aware of any configurables that would cause a tag to not work.

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions or ideas as to what it might be?

Could be a duff keypad or low voltage to the keypad

Thanks for suggestions, Breff - measured 11.8v at keyp terminals, bit lower than expected as using doubled up cable but well within the 10v - 13.8v spec.

Maybe I'll try swapping the keypad around with the others and see if the problem follows it. Must say, seems a bit odd fault for it to be hardware, ho hum.

Many thanks.

Low voltage can lead to the prox reader not working.

Low voltage can lead to the prox reader not working.

Thanks Breff, ended up running a dedicated network circuit to resolve this. All now working fine.

Nice one.
