April 3, 200917 yr comment_232017 Hi, I have just replaced my old 816 with a shiny new 595. All is well, however when I unset the system by either code or Gtag i sometimes get the message 'ACE battery low'. I do have an ACE keypad (upstairs), but i do not use any ACE fobs. Your input as usual, would be greatly appreciated. April 3, 200917 yr Author comment_232024 alterego, will check later. I never had this problem on the 816, and i havenot touched the ACE keypad. I thought 816 was a better panel (higher number) - but it was a really really old one, i think it had the year 2000 on a chip on main board! I thought the 595 stacked up ok, built in dialler etc.. What are the main differences, other than more zones, users etc.. April 3, 200917 yr Author comment_232029 No, nothing wrong with the old panel. Just very old, and wanted a dialler - the 595 seemed to be the best option. Also the police man panic button on the rkp did not work on the old panel. May be installing at my gran's! April 3, 200917 yr Author comment_232031 Always wise after the event!! Anyhow - I can also get a proper wireless receiver instead of a crappy nova thingy. It gave me something to do! April 4, 200917 yr comment_232034 If it is an older ACE RKP you have to turn off "ACE Low Battery" otherwise you will get this message repeatedly - it is in alarm confirm (I think) try it and report back.
