Galaxy G3 Speaker Output Series Resistor?

Hi folks,

The alarm speaker on my G3 has a series resistor on the terminal block so I wired it in, even with the volume at max its not particularly loud, does a G3 need this resistor or should I just wire the speaker directly to the speaker output?

as long as the speakers impedance is >8 Ohms then yes you can wire it in directly
