Hello, does anyone know how to repair the battery charging circuit, is it as simple as changing the capacitor or am I better off buying a new PCB?

Howdy, i'd replace the pcb,

There could be all sorts of things blown on the pcb, cap, regulator, rectifier, several resistors and the like so unless your confident in your abilities, i'd just replace it.

as it'd probably be too much grief to repair.

700L is years old, 800L+ PCB will fit straight in and gives u an xtra zone and has more features

Liftman, did you replace the board. I am in the same situ as you at the moment and the 800L I can get for £42 including delivery and VAT
