MatonTE1
HI ALL WHAT WAY ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO WIRE A STAIR WELL ZONE, AND ARE U ALLOUD HEATS IN A ROOFSPACE?AFD on stairwell zone and MCP's on the floor that they are on if they are in the stairwell. No reason why you can't put heats in a roofspaace but would question why,as you have lost the benefit of early detection. A-G
Roof space can get very hot in summer without any fire .... so risk of false alarm . . . PM me for access to the SSAIB members discussion area.

Might not be an L cat system though. However,I would advise the original poster check his/her copy of the current 5839 with regards to stairwells and manual callpoints etc. but keep up the basic non in depth q+a on fire detection systems to BS5839 part 1+6. (as this was). NO MATE!JUST ROUTINES CAME ACROSS FIRE PANEL WHERE HEATS WERE IN ROOF SPACE AND JUST WONDERD WHY?WASNT 2 SURE ABOUT STAIRWELLS BUT ITS AL CLEAR NOW MATE No probs.
