cant help really but best and cheap dont tend to go well.

so you might want the best dvr, or you might want the cheapest if you see what i mean

there are cheaper machines but imo i wouldnt touch

Consider where you want to put the DVR as many have cooling fans may be quite noisey in a domestic situation, even fanless will offer a hum from the hard drive that can be annoying in the dead of night.

dont no what os it run but try a cct716 if they still do them

been there done that with the cheap stuff (ebay type dvrs)

live view of cameras is fine, however once you start recording its a different matter.

i suggest buying second hand high end off ebay, you will find that your budget will probably get you a unit that originaly retailed at
