I have a further question about the Optima control panel. As I will be helping my dad out at the end of the week to resolve an issue with his alarm, I was thinking of giving him my old Texecom bell box to replace his ageing Maplin one! Only trouble is, the connections are rather daunting - am I right in the following...

Optima Panel....................Texecom Ext. Sounder

Strobe +...........................??

Strobe - ...........................S?? (-ve applied input to activate strobe)

D (+ve supply)..................A (Permanent +ve supply)

B (-ve sounder trigger).......B (-ve input to activate siren)

A (-ve supply)....................D?? (permanent -ve supply)

T (-ve tamper return).........C (-ve removed on tamper output)

Any help, much appreciated...

not sure about the letters but if the descriptions are right then thats spot on.

If there is no strobe pos then it will be taking it from the HO+
