alanjarvis41
we had a power cut yesterday which activated the alarm, I entered my code but it continued to sound, after entering my code a number of times the sounder did stop but the strobe has stayed on, I've tried cutting the mains power supply but this sets the sounder off again, enter the code and sounder stops but strobe continues, by entering my code and restting the panel goes back to day mode and seems ok but the strobe continues. can anyone help. hpotter
External sounder made noise vibrated and water shorted 0v & strobe within? Just a thought. Does the strobe still flash if you disconnect strobe wire in control panel? (beware mains potential dis before opening panel). 9651
Strange one. As said depends on if the bell is getting a perminent 0v from the panel,(spike?) or weather the bell is at fault. A quick check with a multimeter should suffice, maybe call in a engineer.
