ispy
I've done a few jobs like this and prefer the Wisdom Panel However it is a wireless system. It can alert via voice or text and you have the facility to remotely set/unset. you can also program additional button on keyfobs to trigger output for lights, ve hav ze nolij or if not we ask!!!! Colin967
Thanks for that, I don't know why and there is probably no sound reason for it but I prefer hard wired systems. I know it takes more prep and work to install but i like the idea that everything on the primary side of the alarm has a physical connection. It's probably the dinosaur in me reluctant to change. Colin Well perhaps I'm a dinasaur too but I can think of several sound reasons why I would rather use hard wire than wire free. Wirefree systems do have their place but if I can get a cable in I would. Wirefree systems do have their place but if I can get a cable in I would. i'm in agreement about wired, last 3 quotes all had sparkling new decor and wooden floors both up and down so what can you do? i wish i knew why clients manage to get the electrics and plumbing in place befor the painting, and then when its all done now they decide on an alarm system i don't know about other engineers, but for me the Christnmas rush is already well and trully on, i'm just inundated with work way worse than last year y i'd say 100%. so new clients are being advised to contact another installer or if they are estabished clients and insisting on me, they are told that wireless it will be the only option offered for anything before new year, i simply don't have the time to be cabling conventional systems until well after then. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! Bad enough having to lift carpets then get confronted by chipboard floors but laminate, grrrrrrrr!!! Anyone know of a good wire free system? lol Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/25192-panel-query/page/2/#findComment-214375 Share on other sites

arfur mo
So Arf its wirefree or nothing for existing customers lol! of course they are GT1 - but nobody is allowed to move house until I say so in the new year :lol; what i find real weird is how i tend to get little runs of certain types of jobs, i'll get say 3 alarms in a row then 6 CCTv, 3 Video Door Entry and so on, you would think it would be more interspersed. absolutely no kidding, this week alone 5 house enquieries including 2 brothers tonight. these also want small phone systems fitted and to seperate houses. all these jobs have spanking new laminate floors and freshly decorated in the past 2 weeks or so. i'm pretty fair a analysing sales trends, but this baffles me, as just no way of accounting why these business 'chains' occur like this. only the brothers are related (obviously) calls, the 3 other calls are not linked to any of the others. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
