kensplace
Decided to move up to a galaxy 60 instead of the 16+, and just added a smart psu/rio to power the panel and detectors etc. The galaxy manual I have says galaxy panels can accommodate a 15ah bat, the smart psu/rio docs I have just mention a battery, but no mention of max amp hours. The panel has options for 0 to 99ah in the programming... What is the max amp hours a galaxy can take safely and reliably using a smart psu/rio (also on the normal psu as I may use the old psu/board for something else). Is it 15ah or 99ah? Was thinking along the lines of sticking in a 20ah battery for extra run time but dont want to buy one if it turns out that it blows a fuse trying to recharge it after a long powercut... james.wilson
if you have a smart psu, it has a 3a max capacity. You cant pull 3A off it to the panel. Its designed for upto 2A to the panel leaving 1A for the battery recharge. You could in theory put a upto a 24A/h but i dont think it will fit inside. We regulaly use 17A/h on gals so you definetly be safe with that. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
