wyndaff
First post so please be gentle. Had 4 IP cameras running but they have all died now. Looking to get an 8 camera DVR setup. I have specific requirements. 2 outdoor cameras, 6 indoor, power and signal in 1 lead, 1 month DVR recording, some cameras on motion some on permenant, various lighting conditions(day/night), easy to operate DVR with burn option, oh and it has to have a really good image quality. I have a HNC in electrical engineering so will be doing the install myself Is there a web site that has all this equipment on, and is there anything else I should look into many thanks Wyn Jones Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/24730-cctv-in-a-pub/ Share on other sites
Chorlton
Hello & welcome Wyn CCTV is like cars, all take you from A to B but huge difference in what you get from Kia, Ford, Audi or Bently. Do you have a budget as you could spend 5-50K to get you from A-B. Let us know if the budget is equipment only for DIY install or what you expect a pro to supply & fit for. The more info we get the more advice (sometimes too much) you will get back. C. satsuma01
i would also add that if you have never done a cctv install before professionally then my advice would be get a pro to quote it, as there is more to cctv camera setup than just throwing a load ofcables round the property. "If you carry your childhood with you, you never become old. Why rush to end life when happiness is in the blissfulness of childhood innocence.""We all die, the goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will." 07475071344 Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/24730-cctv-in-a-pub/#findComment-210279 Share on other sites
Wooly-bobs
Get a few proper quotes in, it may not be as expensive as you think. Buying DIY kit is all very well initially, be prepared to buy it again in a few years time. Look at leasing the system over a few years if your situation allows it. You only get what you pay for, Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/24730-cctv-in-a-pub/#findComment-210287 Share on other sites
