Hi Guys, Just wondered if anyone has tried installing the latest Galaxy Software, I tried to install it on my company laptop but I keep getting SQL issues. Just wondered if anyone has had similar problems and sorted them

hello alarm_guy1

welcome to tsi.

the forum has another "trade only" side where this sort of thing is discussed.

have a look around the site and join in the chat.

when you have made 15 posts apply to join the trade side via the link below.

We use RSS and utilised our existing SBS sql server. Id advise using the sql express option when isntalling it as its far supriour to the old MSDE engine.

But be wrned sql needs horsepower.... lots of it and a fast disk else it will as slow as anything.

I would install a new instance of sql express if your not used to sql as it could seriously affect and existing sql process setup for other things.

BTW did you opt for MSDE then?

Thanks 4 the prompt replies, I believe I have or had "trade only" I will give that a look.

I have tried the installation process in various forms, but will need to get the laptop out and give a real description of errors and messages and not my vague ramblings and recollections.......
