Citadel Xr2/xr2+ & Remote

Featured Replies

Hi, We've bought a house that comes with the above alarm & a couple of Key fobs. The telephone call system seems rubbish (won't recognise mobile phone key tones) but other than that it seems to work OK - except:

When you switch the system on the outside bell box flashes to let you know - when you switch it off it does nothing. This often results in us being in the house for a few moments & alarm sounds. Can this be changed? Alternatly can the volume of the internal sounder be adjusted (you can switch the alarm off with the fob from inside - but you can't really hear the internal alarm from where it is sited).

Hope the above makes sense & thanks alot for any help / advice.

citadel is a senate electrical branded panel prob an ADE optema/Acenta the strob can be progg not to flash when setting and i think their is a volume control in the panel ?? best get local Eng to service and adj at same time . ^_^

Hi Thanks for that.

Unfortunatly we are in a very remote location & the only engineers I've found locally just aren't interested. There's no obvious volume control. I've got the manuals but they don't mention internal volumes anywhere, what I'm after is a more fool proof way of knowing the alarm has been switched off.

you can fit an additional internal speaker or move it. If its not in the hall then id suggest you move it.
