July 21, 200817 yr comment_205301 Would anyone be so kind as to explain my basic questions on the operation of the soak test feature on the Texecom Premier Panels? I presume you choose which zones you want to be tested by using the 'On Test' attribute and then enable Soak Test. But then what? Are faults logged only when the system is set? Does the alarm operate as normal when on test but faults logged (i.e. can trigger the alarm/sounders etc), or are activations only logged and can never trigger an intruder alarm? What conditions cause a zone to fail? July 21, 200817 yr comment_205312 Any zone programmed as Soak Test will NOT activate the alarm if triggered when the system is set for the duration of the Soak Test Timer (14 days by default IIRC), all that will happen is the keypad will display 'test failed' once unset. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/24140-texecom-premier-soak-test/#findComment-205312 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 July 23, 200817 yr Author comment_205479 Thankyou for the reply. So I could assign some zones to soak test (I'm particularly interested in two of the 'pet safe' DT PIRs in my system which I reckon could be triggered by the cats if they were jumping about) and if they became active at any point while the system was set I'd get an entry on the log, but the remaining zones would operate as usual? Are further activations of a failed zone also logged? Or is it just disabled for the remainder of the on test period?
