think i know the answer , iprob is NO , but in case has any one changed the vcl dome protocol to say pelco d or equivelent , so it can be oparated by standard dvr and joy stick , if not i will have to change the dome , :(

According to the manual for Pelco P protocol DILSW1 should have sw 1 on and 2,3 off for Pelco D protocol 1 and 3 off 2 on

VCL Orbitor Gold/Platinum have a couple of RS485 bourne protocols available to them via the swicthes mentioned by Pedders.

The older standard Orbitors (without the 2 alarm sockets on the dome itself) require a physical chip change to change protocol. My old company had several VCL Orbitors running Pelco in a towns CCTV system.
