zs123
hi, i know some DM units are +++ or Esc Esc Esc to enter comms mode when attached to DS2 / ECO via serial and Hyperterminal. can anyone advise how you access comms mode on a dedicated micros D4, tryed the above keystrokes but no luck, any help would be great Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/23146-accessing-comms-mode-on-dm-d4-via-hyperterminal/ Share on other sites
breff
What is it that you are trying to achieve? The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! james.wilson
can you not do it through the usual means because its password protected? DO you know what some of the ip is, or none of it.... why not use dm software to autodetect the machine? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. zs123
no the drive has failed so it wont boot far enough to show the IP im not aware if it even has one set? i would presume it is on 192.168 but that is just an assumption. not aware what DM software will auto detect? network viewer doesnt does it? thought you had to input IP? james.wilson
network viewer will detect if its on the same subnet yes. But if its not booting then neither will the telnet server. What use will the ip be of a dead machine? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
