Every Aritech sounder I have ever fitted is voltage removed to trigger.

If you want loud,you want the Aritech AS394,it takes a 7Ah battery,and is definately move painful to be around than a MasterBlaster,with the added bonus of it not relying on mains. Just don't go near it without your ear-muffs!! ;)
