Looking For A Fire+intrusion Solution

Recommended Posts

Hello, we're designing complex security system

(fire, intrusion, cctv, access control) for a small factory.

All systems will be supervised via PC monitors

whith installed suitable soft. Fire alarm system will

be addressable, 8 loops; intrusion alarm - about 16 partitions

and 128 zones.

So, our customer want to supervise both (addressable

fire alarm and intrusion alarm) on 1 monitor

(all fire and intrusion detectors and other devices

should be on the same plan).

Is there possible? Which security manufacturer has such

soft?

don't know about combined but what you need for fire and intruder is available indepandantly with graphics software etc.

why do you need such big systems for a small factory?

Actually, it's quite large object.

It's not matter object's size.

Combining addressable fire + security -

it's a wish of our customer.

First of all, I offered him "GE Security",

but when he found that both systems:

(ATS 4000 and FP2000) have different

software, he said: "It's not suitable for

us. Look for a systems which integrates

both addressable fire and intrusion alarm

system on one graphic plan".

i would recommend giving GEC a miss for Fire anyway. The FP200 range is Aritech they have no UK tech support and have really went downhill imo

having the ability to monitor and control combined security systems is not unheard of, what would worry me is that you want it all on one monitor.

this could leave the operator open to multi-sytem calls if say a fire damaged an intruder cable, signals from both could arrive at the same time, fir would be the 1st priority, so the CCTV will not be watching the guy knicking the gear having caused the fire to get in.

many people suddenly have a rush of blood, before thinking it through decide they are definately going for an Apollo type space ship control room, so a simple word of sage advice here - K.I.S.S.

Take a look at Honeywell "PROWATCH" that should do what you want!!!
