Agghh - just spent 90 mins writing all my probs down and deleted it in a second-gutted. Can't do all that again.

Bought Gardtec CP595MGTAG2 alarm, 3 x V40 DT PIRs, 5 x RK600SM ShockTecs Detectors with magnet, 2 x RWT72MIQ Wireless door contacts and also 2 x RWT6SW shock detectors, wireless expander, Novagard 6 sounder, internal sounder, zone expander and 8 core alarm cable (should be 6 but hope 8 core is okay)

Now realise I was sooooo stupid to think I could attempt it myself. I can't even understand the instructions.

I've run the cables under floorboards to appear where I wanted the components. Fused spur is connected to Cunsumer Unit. Need to fit Alarm sounder, mount alarm panel on wall to connect to fused spur.

That's where mt ability appears to end. Wouldn't even know if there is a colour protocol for wiring components. Any suggestions from the Pro's, apart from pouring hot oil on the head of this village idiot....!

If an alarm fitter was living in the Peterborough area, what would be the hypothetical cost to connect the components/commission the panel??

I hope you have luck on this but I wouldn't be too hopeful - it might be hard to find someone who will accept your cable installation and equipment locations (speaking from experience!).

Hello, To start off with there is no colour protocol for wiring. Choose what colours are going to be what and stick to it. E.g. Red is + Black is -.

Yes it does look and sound like you have taken on a bit too much. My advice is read and reread the alarm panel

Not the most straight forward system to program. I would get someone in, it will save you a lot of time in the long run. Programming on this system is a nightmare and takes a few installs to master.
