dogtag
Hi There, just a few questions about PTZ systems. We have fitted a lot of fixed cameras but have been asked to fit some PTZ equipment & I am wondering about the following. ? How is the camera restricted from recording areas it should not be looking at (windows, public places etc) if it is set in 'Tour mode'.??? If the record setting is set to 'movement detection' how can the camera differentiate the movement when the picture appears to be moving anyway.?? Thanks for any input. N.J. spider
Hi, PTZ cameras (not all so check first) have built in 'privacy masking' set up from the controller, as the masking is configured from within the camera, the camera knows it co-ordinates when on a tour and masks appropriatly, also if your scene is made up of several independant block areas, for example looking down several alleys with houses on each side, check that the camera will support the number of masks you are going to apply. You have answered your own question with regard to motion detection, this cannot be used with a camera on patrol Good luck
camerabloke
easiest way to record on movement is to have a motion detector linked to the cam, so when the detector is tripped, the recording begins for a pre determined length Eucam Security Systems 0845 4630 746 www.eucam.co.uk
