Urgent - Please Help Me Repair My Alarm!

Featured Replies

I'm near greenford in west london. Which firm do you work for?

the alarm has only been 2 years old max, is it likely for it to be damaged so early?

thats a newish alarm but not unknown for them too fail, have you been having lots more work done in the house ? maybe someone has damaged a cable

hope you get a firm to attend, many wont take on faults like this but many more will, good luck ( and if FCE`s outfit are near then theres your answer )

not all conditions result in the external siren sounding,

you don't say if the system ever activates when the system is not armed, if it dose it could be indicating a tamper fault.

the system has to be fully armed (set) before it will operate the external devices (with the exception of any panic buttons).

the system may not be fully arming when say your leaving, the final door contact may be faulty and result in the exit timer being exceeded, so only the internals sirens and strobe operate as a local warning of failure to set.

using a master code refer to the user manual and run a bell test if it fails to sound then you can assume it is a problem on the siren or cabling, not unknown for an engineer to remove the drive wire while testing and forget to reconnect it securely

either way at 2 years old it's well time for a pro to do a maintenance on it.
