Guest anguscanplay
One last thing though, is the Gardtec 490x unit and RKP easy to install for a person that has basic alarm understanding (myself). This will be good in the short term future as the keypad on the Optima is beginning to fall apart! I like the idea of the highly configurable feature set on the 490x.Thanks! to put it bluntly - no what I really mean is although the panel can be found out in the public arena through third party re-sellars it was designed and developed as a trade fit unit. anything we do is only connecting by numbers at the end of the day so with enough time and using trial and error you could get a working system - but not as quickly or neatly as a pro fit and deffo not insured against failure , bad advice or negligance Warm regards Angus ( I would have snapped his arm off for that deal he offered , 490x? under Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/20467-upgrading-ade-optima-panel/page/2/#findComment-177387 Share on other sites
nemo
Thanks very much for the replies arfur' and angus. I think the Gardtec 490x will be the way to go as I have only heard good opinions on this setup. Just need to sort out the flooring situation or consider more expense with the wireless add-on. Thanks again guys! Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/20467-upgrading-ade-optima-panel/page/2/#findComment-177479 Share on other sites
