Hi I wish to change the phone number my system dials when triggered, for this I need the installers code which I regretably do not have. I have asked the company I bought the unit from but they are only excuses, they either say they dont know or that a third should have it (third party being my ex-monitoring company, which also seems to have misplaced it on purpose). I have fully paid for my alarm system and have fulfilled my duties as stated on the monitoring company contract. My system is no longer being monitored. I wish to know if it is possible to default my unit in order to get into programming mode, or maybe a way just to bypass the installers code..... I really need to perform the above changes on my unit, any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Before you try to default the panel, you need to make sure that it is a standard panel and not a specific variant for an alarm company. If it is a variant, it may well have no standard programming and default codes, in which case the the standard manual will not be of any use to you.

How would I know if it is a standard or a variant panel???? All I know is that the panel is a DSC Classic PC 1565 software version 2.3, thats what is written on the Installation manual!!!

I've been reading the installation manual for the pc 1565 and let me tell you, at the begging I felt comfortable with the jargon and tech stuff being described but in the end I ended up more confused than ever!!!!

I've read that apparently one can connect a computer and download the current status on the alarm system and get it printed .... to do this my system requires a software called DLS-1 V6.7 and a DLS-2 package to work on a windows based system, my question is where on earth can I find this particular software????

any ideas???? I've checked my local distributor and they are only good to sell you alarm systems, and nothing else...

Get a proffesional in to do it, saves all the stress and hassle.

Whats more you will get peace of mind that the system works.

Post on the forum what area you are in and one of the guys is bound to be near you.
