Hi Everyone,

My daughter just bought a home with eclipse alarm in it.

She can man the alarm, and disable it, but when she tested it out and opened window/door, the alarm does not sound.

The system is Eclipse, and about 15 yrs old.

She has 3 keypads, 1 for coming in garage, 1 for the main door, and 1 outside her bedroos.

She also has glass breaker and sensors .

Could it be anything other than the siren?

Could be the siren, could be the control panel output, could be the wiring - best to get a local engineer in to test and rectify the problem.

15yrs old its probably worn out. I would also advise you at least get it looked at, but reapiring this may be more costly than biting the bullet now and replacing it
