He has replaced it with the scantronic unit, Fastcar are the devices compatiable with the scantronic? I suspect not, but as I have never fitted one, I am not sure. They are sort of, but it would be a badge at best. As the man says, throw it, throw it all. Best bet would be to just start again as the chances are it was never fitted very well in the first place. I would never entertain the idea of doing anything with one other than ignoring it's presence totally.
