Internal Alarm Sounders?

Featured Replies

The Aritech internal sounder is very good...and very loud :P

Normally fit the Hosiden Besson Bandit which is 108dB @ 1m but only pulls 70mA.

Not as loud as some, but low current and looks better than the sound bombs

but do it hurt like or make your ears bleed like a sound bomb at that price?

the best option is the internal SAB (gartec one as pictured) costs the same as a external sab, uses no current (scb) the loudest cheap option.

the old chestnut is where can none trade get one?

Soundbombs might be cheap and cheerful but they are ugly in a domestic situation and a pain in the //.B.W.F.// to fit. Surely it would be easy for them to stick a couple of terminal connectors inside to wire into rather than have the fly leads that you have to crimp/solder/choc block onto...

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.

Soundbombs are hateful things, yeah thaey are load but so is a firework, actaully i bet a rocket would eb easier to securly fit and wire in!!

2 screws + 2 wire's one is red, other is black - don't need a manual for that do we ? :'(

ok brains!!!!

;)

next to your extremly pretty, well designed and modern looking 4 way sound bomb, do you have a 6 way jb or just choc block in the trunking? (or twist and tape?) [kidding!!!]

James

nah! james,

trunking costs money, so just wack it up above the keypad, and dig hole in wall for t'bloc recess

:P

just pulling your leg mate.

depends, if actually using sound bombs. if supplied on a sub con job mostly small j/b depends on the location, but often i take wires in through behind into a cupboard and fit JB.

i don't like the fixing holes showing, so i got some of those screw caps used in kitchens and the like, just looks a little better.

but i'd suggest get yourself some of the Gardtec ones, the base is a bit of a PIA, if you've not seen them before i bet it takes you at least 10 mins to open it, but they have proper terminals and they look real nice in white (not that nicotine stained biscuit colour).

2 versions are offered, the one i use has 2 sounders, a strobe and an LED built in so fairly adaptable, and handy on say the landing to give indication alarm has part set or the like.
