PJF Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 Can anyone help, I have been sent a document in word 6.0 format & my microsoft works will not touch it. Its a wordpad document with an error message of " can not load word for window file 6.0" PJF. Top tip: if you ever catch fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the mirror, because i bet thats what REALLY throws you into a panic and dont forget the one thing you cant recycle is wasted time. Open Office is a superb product you can set it up so that it always opens in a word format (doc) and saves in the same format without asking the operator. So, if you don't have Word or Excel for example, install the readers. Depending on what you need a reader combined with cut-and-paste meets most occasional requirements.
