I have recently moved house and the new house has a gardtec 800 series security system - except it's not functioning - other than external security lights and sensors. I don' know any of the codes to reset or set the system as the previous owners did not seem to use it either!

I contacted SBM the installers to see whether they could bring it back up to standard and they said it needed replaciong and quoted

Without seeing the job and knowing what is wrong, its is very hard to pass comment on what they have quoted you.

Also what did you ask them to do? Is the system a bells only or a police responce system?

Give us a ring, we are based in Denton/ Hyde and regularly install Gardtec 800 series panels as standard.
