January 22, 200422 yr comment_6422 Hi Richw, Yes, that panel is quite a good one, full of features and is normally used in business environments - but suitable for home too... It is a great panel, as all Texecom panels are... January 23, 200422 yr comment_6436 I have the Premier 816 in my house, and its excellent. You can do loads of stuff with the outputs such as control access to doors, switch relays to turn outside lights on. The best part is the remote administration if you have a com module in it, as you can dial into it from anywhere and re-programme it without having to do a site visit for the customer. All in all a nice bit of kit! January 23, 200422 yr comment_6439 Yeah, I'm also interested in that idea, would be good to use the random timer to switch internal lights on when the system is armed, more info on how this is done would be really useful!!!! I wanted to use the 60 XP id as mentioned in the install guide, but texecom don't seem to know much about it??? ie. when its going to be released Rich Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/1193-texecom-premier-88/#findComment-6439 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 January 23, 200422 yr comment_6440 The best thing to do is email Texecom tech support they will probably be able to tell you more info on some of the features as well as give you a rough estimate of when the 60XP is gonna be released. They seem a really freindly bunch so drop em an email. January 26, 200422 yr comment_6609 The Premier is probably one of the most flexible panels I've ever used. Got an 88 in my house, it turns on the hall light during entry between 16.00 and 07.00, and brings on the hall & landing lights if a smoke detector goes off! It also texts me on mobile if anything is activated. I dial it up from my laptop using my nokia infrared and reprogram it. Texecom are VERY helpful, even rewriting the software when we needed new outputs. Try it , you'll like it Breff The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! January 29, 200422 yr comment_6740 We rang texecom the other day they are sending out a sample panel of the premier 24 with a keypad and proxy built in for us to use with our monitoring customers as the matrix from pyronix is garbage our engineers are complaining about the programming but wouldn,t touch the R8 or compact etc we are just sticking with the premier and the galaxy panels can,t go wrong.
