August 12, 200619 yr comment_111927 My Mother-in-Law's house alarm has stopped working normally. Until today, it was fine, and had been reliable. Now, it displays: Power, steady green, I think, from memory Day - Unlit, or very dim orange Zone 1 Steady Red Zone 2 Unlit Zone 3 Unlit Zone 4 Flashing Red, about 1 Hz Zone 5 Flashing Red, about 1 Hz When the code is entered, the LEDs do not change state, but a two tone warning sounds indefinitely until the code is re-entered. I'm guessing that the flashing LEDs each indicate a fault?? All four of the PIRs appear to be working; detecting my presence and bliking the LEDs on when I am in range, and with a DMM on the contacts for the front door, it appears that the reed switch is functional too. I'm not aware of any other sensors in the house, nor which zones have what on them (the M-I-L is in hospital, and has enough to worry about right now without knowing that her house alarm isn't working), but I'm suspicious about two zones going faulty simultaneously, if I have interpreted the LEDs correctly. The alarm is seviced annually, but the maintenance engineer I spoke to was no help whatsoever. Any ideas? James meant 'a reset' as it looks like the alarm has activated with the steady zone light showing the first zone to have tripped and the flashing ones have activated afterwards (or the other way round). If you don't know......ask. August 12, 200619 yr comment_111935 lol damned keyboard lolrest lol yeah meant reset My keyboard does that to me, too, from time to time! Thanks for the tip. Hopefully, we don't need any other 'special' codes to sort matters; our usual one should be OK? And, is the 'Code' key actually the *, because there only appears to be the standard 0-9, * and #. Oh, engage brain - 'code' is the four digit code!!
