well apart from chime i cant see anything, but you said its am x,6 and if i recall this didnt have chime, (does the bottom left key say MEM or CHIME)? Is there anything else wrong with it, does it set is it stable?

Is the beep random?

ROW1 0, 1, 2, 3, 4,

ROW2 5, 6, 7, 8 ,9,

ROW3 MEM, OMIT, RESET, PROG, SET,

The bleep is not at set intervals.

I am still none the wiser about this problem.

I will power the system down and up again later to see if its cured.

Is their a set way to power down and back again?

before you powerdown why dont you try the above advice of disconnecting the speaker inside the panel and see if the noise stops. But if you need to power it down just pull the power and power up with mains first cleanly
