I hope this question is in the right forum, if not admin please re-route

I fear before I start typing that this will sound a bit banghead but as its bugging me here goes.

We are moving house shortly and I have an alarm panel Veritas R8 Plus panel, and 2xRokonet iWise Quad and 1xiWise Greenline 25m ready to fit.

My question is I have 2 clocks with long pendulums, these clocks are not in cases but open (Skeleton type) both clocke but one more than the other have quite a long pendulum stroke with the pendulum being aprox 3 foot long. Will the Pir's pick up this movement and cause the alarm to sound ??.

S**s law being the places I would like the clocks to be are facing where the Pir's will be. I hope this makes sense.

any advice will be appreciated,

Possibly but unlikley. Depends how close to the sensor they will be, the further away the better but really try and avoid it if you can.

Get rid of the clocks and buy a digital watch problem solved

Suck it and see, it6 wont kill anyone. If it does pick up the pendulem then as stated above mask out that part of the pir. Then walk test it so the perimiters of the clocks are protected but not the working parts.

Another soloution is perhaps use shock sensors on the windows with contacts on them as well as the doors to the room. That was full protection and no flase alarms from pirs, just large lorries going past.
